Brian Stevens has 30 years’ experience in various Aboriginal based managerial roles across health, economic development and other sectors.

He has worked diligently at improving the socio-economic health and wellbeing outcomes for Indigenous Australians and works collegially with services, government bodies, and Aboriginal communities to provide a co-ordinated and culturally appropriate response to achieve this. He offers cultural training for diverse VPS and community-based agencies.

Brian is a proud Gunai man who has a deep understanding of cultural knowledge and Aboriginal community protocols which is supported by a career that spans over three decades. He brings his insights into the rapidly evolving Aboriginal Leadership landscape in 2024 to deepen the dialogues about what it means to be an Aboriginal leader and the discussions on culturally sensitive issues.

Brian has undertaken extensive consultation and brings deep thought leadership, stemming from his tenure as CEO of Indigenous Leadership Network Victoria. His lived experience within government and Community-based organisation leadership roles brings grounded insights into leading within Community and realities of navigating two worlds.
