As an executive coach, leadership facilitator and team coach, Cathy operates from a core belief that the wisdom and answers to all the challenges we encounter lie within each individual, or within the systems of a relationship, team or organization. Her approach centers around helping people find the nuggets of gold that elicit new wisdom and help unfold the challenges that show up at their doorstep into opportunities for growth and transformation. Cathy helps take those she works with into their deepest dreaming to explore and get to know what is most unknown and what is wanting to happen. Cathy’s professional work evolved by following an insatiable desire to develop deep awareness from the inside out and to help others in the world to do the same.
Living in Japan for 22 years, Cathy spent 7 years as a Senior Corporate Trainer inside a major Japanese corporation. In 1999, she left to fulfill a dream and vision of helping Realize Unlimited Potential in People & Organizations when she started Creating…® which specializes in Conflict Transformation, Leadership & Organizational Development, and Executive, Leadership, Relationship & Systems Coaching. She has worked with a wide range of clients from all over the world in settings that range from a 47-meter tall ship to the corporate boardroom. Her clients include multi-national corporations, NGO’s and educational institutions in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Canada, the U.S. and Central, Eastern & Western Europe. She has coached CEO’s of many multi-national organizations, the C-Suite and middle management as well.
With 30 years of leadership experience in Outward Bound (www.outward-bound.org), Cathy designs, directs and facilitates high caliber custom team coaching and systemic leadership programs. She took the Global Leadership program of one large financial institution, modified it for Japanese culture and transformed it into a powerful, experiential program and put thousands of leaders through the program over ten years. She is versed in both setting up these team coaching programs using the wilderness as a medium and inside corporate settings. Cathy’s work is focused on deep social, organizational and world change. She has worked throughout Asia, North America, Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
