Why Us? - Global Coaching Institute

The GCI Coach Training program combines the core principles and practice of organisational coaching with Process Oriented Psychology, also known as Process Work – a depth psychological theory that spans transpersonal, somatic and Jungian psychologies, concepts of deep democracy, quantum physics, and wisdom traditions. Process Work is at the cutting edge of psychology, conflict facilitation, organisational and social change.

Our Coach Training draws on extensive experience in working with individuals, leaders and organisations, and more than 20 years of learning and practice in the art and science of personal and system change.

We know that our model of coaching is like no other, and here’s why.

  • You will grow as a person
Our coach training programs focus on your personal development to ensure that you as a coach, are a refined and powerful instrument for change. We focus on your own personal presence and unique learning path.
  • Our approach creates sustainable change
Our coaching methodology is based in depth psychology that creates deep change at an individual and systems level. Our work builds on the extensive knowledge developed in the field of Process Oriented Psychology (also known as Process Work).
  • Our coaches emerge highly skilled
All GCI training encompasses the development of highly advanced coaching skills and a deep understanding of coaching personal and system change theory. We focus on the context you will coach in, and build your capacity to work with organisations, systems and individuals in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environments.
  • We embrace a range of learning styles
GCI programs are based on action learning principles and apply a range of experiential methods. During our programs participants work on real life situations and projects and spend considerable time developing coaching skills through practice.
  • We provide an ICF accreditation pathway
Our Coaching Foundations program meets the accreditation requirements of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP).

Global Coaching Institute

Achieving ICF Accreditation is a strong message to your clients that you offer an international standard of service.  Coaching is a growing industry which is increasingly becoming more regulated. Some clients may insist you have accreditation before contracting with you.

The GCI Coaching Foundations Program is accredited with the International Coach Federation (ICF), the leading global organisation that works to advance the coaching profession. ICF provides independent certification to recognise a high standard of skill attainment, and is the largest network of professional coaches in the world.

All GCI graduates of our Coaching Foundations Program (GCI 101/102/103) will have completed the ICF required coach specific training hours (125 hours) and the 10 Mentor Coaching hours required for ACC and PCC credentials under the ACTP Path.

Graduates completing the first two modules Coaching with the E1ME2RGE3 ModelTM (GCI101) and the GCI Coaching RoadmapTM  (GCI102) will have met the ICF required coach specific training hours (60 hours) required for the ACC credential under the ACSTH path.

The coach mentoring hours required for the ACC credential are included in GCI 103.  Graduate of GCI 101/102 applying for the ACC credential, who are not continuing on to GCI 103,  will need to complete 10 hours of Mentor Coaching in addition to the program.

The GCI Community

Our coaches receive ongoing support from the GCI graduate community. Great coaches continually develop their skills. Our graduate community provides opportunity for ongoing peer support and learning, supervision and professional development. We are committed to making our coaches known for being amongst the most highly skilled available in the market.

The GCI Vision for Change

Deep, systemic results are needed in order to achieve sustainable change. But most models fall short, and old patterns return.

When Vicki Henricks and Rho Sandberg discovered Process Oriented Psychology, they knew they had found a dynamic and sophisticated technology that achieves lasting individual and systemic change. It began a 20-year journey into the art and science of Process Work and Coaching, from which the Global Coaching Institute emerged.

Vicki and Rho developed the E1ME2RGE3 Model of CoachingTM and the GCI Coaching RoadmapTM in order to share their insights and experience, and raise consciousness and awareness in leaders and organisations across the globe. The GCI methodology works with individuals, groups and teams, organisations and whole communities. It is applicable to everyone, everywhere and in every culture.

Vicki Henricks

Being a coach is the most satisfying career I could have imagined.

I love to help individuals and organisations find their vision, work on issues and conflicts, deepen their awareness and build new skills. I get to know people I would never have met before, at a very deep level.

Rho Sandberg

Rho Sandberg

Coaching is one of the most powerful tools available for developing insight, agility and courage.

After 25 years working with organisations, I am sold on the value of coaching, especially in navigating complex situations.

I learnt so much on the GCI accredited coach training program.  The training was excellent, rich in content, clear and insightful and the learning support was outstanding. Rho and Vicki are incredibly skilled trainers and coaches who know their material and teach with a passion and energy that is a delight to behold. I would recommend them as a standout for anyone who wants a holistic approach to coaching.

Sam AdkinsExecutive Coach, The Homeopathic Coach

The skills that I learned on GC101 and 102 enhanced my life and relationships, as well as my ability to work even more deeply with my clients. The program was very engaging, teaching valuable coaching, leadership and communication skills.  At another level GCI is a very supportive community of coaches where authenticity and diversity is welcomed. Even if you decide not to be a coach, your money won’t be wasted.

Ken ConnellBusiness Consultant, Mentor and Coach , Ken Connell & Associates Pty Ltd

As an experienced coach, I was looking for a way to deepen my skills and fine tune my coaching style.  Cue Process Oriented Coaching!  Learning a process oriented approach to coaching has been a profound and satisfying way to focus on following my client through subtle cues and deepening their awareness with a laser like ability to track the client’s movements.  My ability to be present to the indicators of my client has certainly heightened as has my awareness of the power of my own intuition in response to how my client (and myself) are showing up in the moment.  Ultimately, Process Oriented coaching is a great way to clear your own filters, see your clients more clearly, and move with what is unfolding with flexibility, presence and grace.

Anneli BlundellDirector, Motivation Matters

Having received global acclaim in the field of sustainable development, I myself and my company Landmatters Pty Ltd have benefited significantly from Rho and her team’s expertise – so much so that I am now focusing my consulting business to help coach individuals, businesses and organizations following their model.

Other than the normal relationship issues faced by business leaders, our business contains additional complexities due to its cultural, geographic and disciplinary diversities.  Vicki’s guidance and assistance in effective communication, awareness of self and environment, and immersion in the process oriented learning process has enabled us as owners to grow as leaders, and taken our business to levels we initially never dreamed possible.
