Coaching Teams, Projects & Organisations is a two-day workshop provides an in-depth exploration of innovative ways to work with teams, communities and larger systems. This module equips coaches to help groups get to the heart of the matter, achieve alignment and develop strategies for realising their vision.
Teams and community groups that set clear goals, achieve shared understanding and embrace change together are a force to be reckoned with. It’s hardly surprising therefore that team coaching is now recognised as a powerful tool for project planning and decision making.
Team coaching allows individuals to learn together. Team members themselves begin to act as coaches – supporting each other to learn from experience, guarding against the force of habit and reinforcing new practices and behaviours. Team coaching is therefore a powerful platform for cultural transformation.
As most of us know, teams and larger systems can be complex and at times overwhelming for those who must navigate their currents and engage stakeholders. In this workshop you will learn how to follow and work with the diverse perspectives, interests and influences within a group.
You will be introduced to Deep Democracy, a powerful paradigm developed by Dr. Arnold Mindell and colleagues, for ensuring that the diversity within teams is an asset rather than a source of frustration. This workshop teaches how to access marginalised voices within a system as a powerful way to assist groups achieve new discoveries and breakthroughs.
You will apply the GCI Team Coaching Roadmap™ to help groups recognise and re-evaluate their habitual ways of operating and their growing edges. In addition, you will learn to recognize and work with rank and power dynamics that often impede team relationships and effective decision making.
Coaching Teams, Projects and Organisations applies systems thinking, teaches you to read the atmosphere, and understand roles and group dynamics which occur within teams undergoing change or conflict. This program provides a framework for building leadership, influencing, change management and conflict management capabilities.
Organisational coaches, leaders and consultants will acquire the tools and processes to work with entire systems, whether this be a team, business unit, the whole organisation or community.
If you don’t aspire to coach teams or systems, and prefer to work with individuals, this module is a fabulous opportunity to learn about the social, political and team dynamics you prepare your clients to thrive in. Applying a systems perspective in your coaching affords clients a sophisticated and multi-faceted approach to realising their goals, that works for the individual and the sponsoring organisation.
